Change of film.
due to a severe lack of money and no access to any current art funds, i have had to change from using conventional film (costing £97 for 50 sheets) to using the same film i used for my last project, this being x-ray film, rated at 36 iso. so the quality is still going to be very fine indeed, it will just have very different contrast and tonal properties to conventional film. this film will record more shadow detail and will have a fairly high level of contrast as not many mid tones shall be recorded, but thankfully for this type of film, i shall be able to handle it and develop in under a red safety light, allowing me to have a very steady work flow. this i dont feel shall be much of a problem, as i have really liked this films properties, and is again different to most, if not all students. emphasising my works unique and distinct look.
