When given this brief I knew that I would like produce an exhibition, this is because I like to see myself as primarily a documentary and art photographer and after university I would like to try and concentrate on exhibitions etc to display my work. with this in mind, this project has given me a perfect opportunity to go about doing this.
I will obviously be developing my own individual ideas and images, but the exhibition itself will be in conjunction with Lewis and Moira. we have chosen to do this as a joint exhibition would allow us to work together in finding an exhibition space and also having several peoples work on show would appeal to a wider audience than just one persons images.
the primary reason for this project is to help build a client base and to build contacts, and i feel that through this project this will be very possible, both in terms of people to invite to the exhibition, but also through contacting different companies about possibly using their space for the exhibition.
i feel very excited about the prospect of this brief, as unlike some other briefs set, i see a direct link between this and my desired field of work after graduation.
