This venue was a bar that Lewis knew the manager. The manager was all for us displaying our work, yet there were issues with regard to hanging. The issues were we could displaying anything on the walls. Everything would have to be free standing. The venue was gorgeous, with brushed damask wallpaper a silk parachute ceiling and chandeliers. For this venue we would have to compromise the freedom of display. And from this compromise will it affect the final output of the exhibition in negative way?
this location came to mind as i know the manager.and feel that this is a very strong location, it is in the heart of preston and has a very smart interior. also this bar is usually busy with a lovely crowd of people, so this could boost the numbers of people who view our work. also we would be able to have the top floor hired for free and have our own private bar for our guests, making the night a more pleasant and rewarding experience. but there is a major problem as we were told that we wouldnt be able to hang any of our work from the walls. so this gives us a major hurdle to jump. if it wasnt for this fact i feel this could have been the location for our exhibition.
